We’re Alive!!!!

Good evening Manor Fans! It’s been a while since our last update, but have we got some terrific news for y’all? We do… That’s the answer to that question! We’re pleased to announce that we’ll be playing a show on Saturday, July 24th at Burning Coal Theatre! The doors open at 7:30 PM, and the music starts at 8! The Band’s Rising Song

Hey Manor fans, how’s everybody doing? We hope you’re having a great summer. Last month we celebrated our first Man Manor-versary, as we started kicking out the jams just a little over one year ago. To commemorate this monumental achievement we have a surprise for you:

Remember that album we were telling you about? Well we’re happy to announce that after months of outsourcing our labor to Indonesia (once again, our basement) we’ve got it coming along very nicely.  As such, we’ve updated our media page with a new track called “Flood The Sea.”  Check it out!  More tracks are on their way soon. Stay tuned.

Quick tidbits create us, then break us down

A couple of quick announcements for you guys.

First of all, Man Manor’s song “Circling the Drain” has been selected to appear in the 2009 edition of Windhover, NC State’s annually produced arts and literary magazine.  Copies of Windhover can be purchased at the NC State bookstore.

Also, our Media page got a facelift with the addition of a video from a recent performance at the Berkeley Cafe.  We’re looking to get out there and perform more frequently this summer so be on the lookout for information regarding shows in the near future (to be the first to find out, become an official groupie or a fan on facebook.

In other news, our lab techs are just days away from perfecting the Man Manor iPhone app, so keep your fingers crossed for that (note: we may be kidding about this).

Here I lie, recording an album!

This just in! The big announcement you’ve all been waiting for! T’was just last weekend ago when our heroes, Man Manor, drove 40 minutes out to scenic Just-Outside-Of-Pittsboro just to eat lunch at a KFC/Taco Bell. Ok, we’re messing with you. The real reason we got off our arses was to go into the studio to begin work on our first album!

What sort of album will it be? A self-titled E.P.? A concept album exploring our feelings about various political goings-on? An album of various techno remixes of our already incredibly popular web hit “Circling the Drain?” Perhaps a single track off of each member’s solo album? Who knows? Technically we do… but we’re not ready to give up all the mystery just yet.  All we can tell you now is that we’re pretty impressed with what we’ve got so far, and that we’ve still got a little bit more work to do.  Should all go according to plan, the album will be available to you, our loyal fans, sometime in March.  If you’re just dying for more information, you may want to consider becoming an official groupie of Man Manor, as we may send out some special updates and/or samples of the album to our most loyal of fans. That’s all for now. Oh yeah, also be on the lookout for a “making of” featurette about the album on this site in the next few days.

Groupies, a vision of splendor

Yes, folks… after much procrastination we’ve finally created the Groupie Application Form we mentioned on the Contact page.  There are many perks to becoming an official Man Manor Groupie, as well as up-to-the-time-we-send-out-the-e-mail information on what’s going on in the world of Man Manor (and trust us… we’ve got some pretty big announcements coming up here in the next couple of weeks).  Fill out the form by clicking here or by finding the link on the Contact page.  Also, another good way to stay in the Man Manor loop is by going to our page on Facebook and becoming a fan of us there too.  Happy rockin’.

We’re circling ’round the tree!

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and all other seasonal festivies from all of us of Man Manor! We’re all enjoying our holidays, and after having received some wonderful gifts, our band can only improve from here! So while we’re jamming to ‘Jingle Bells’, we all hope you’re enjoying the holiday season.

Links and Contacts on a Saturday Night and I Wondered, Wondered Why.

Yes, we have added two new pages to the site.  First off we have a page of awesome links to our fantastic facebook page (which you should check out, eh?) and some other cool sites on the internet.  In addition we have renovated the old contacts page because we have spiffy new e-mail addresses.  And, as always, we have our other sweet website content (I particularly recommend the “media” and “rejected band names” pages) so have a look around!

Let’s end our search for website content cause we’re already there!

After days of outsourcing our webmaking labor to Indonesia, they finally came through with some good content, and only for 12 cents! By Indonesia, we mean our basement. And by 12 cents, we mean not studying for our exams.

We have a picture! Several pages! A google calendar! And an audio file! There is also a heated rumor of forthcoming shirtlessness, for better or for worse. In the meantime, please poke around. Make yourself at home. Our basement is your website.
